Craven Park is based in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England and is the home of rugby league side Hull Kingston Rovers. The ground has a capacity of 12,225 and opened in 1989. Previous tenants include football club Hull United and Speedway outfit Hull Vikings.

History

The four stands that make up the ground are the Colin Hutton North Stand, Roger Millward West Stand, Joinery Depot East Stand and the Academics South Terrace. The Colin Hutton North Stand has a seated capacity of 2,600 which cost £8 million and was built for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup. It also includes a business centre and training centre along with 42 offices.

The Roger Millward West Stand has 5,000 seats along with space for 500 fans in executive boxes. It houses the changing rooms and a bar along with a TV gantry. The Joinery Depot East Stand. Is a standing terrace and is known for being the most atmospheric stand in the ground with plans to expand it in the future. The final stand is the Academics South Terrace which goes around where the greyhound track was, however, there are plans to build a permanent stand there in the future.

Three Rugby League World Cup matches have taken place at the ground with Fiji beating Russia, France beating Papua New Guinea and Samoa beating Papua New Guinea too. Other teams to play at the ground include Australia, Scotland, England, Morocco and Japan in tournaments including the Rugby League Four Nations and the Rugby League Emerging Nations Tournament.

Other sports to take place at the ground include Speedway from 1995 to 2005, Greyhound Racing, Boxing in 2015 and a Championship fixture of Quidditch in 2017. Concerts that have played at Craven Park have been headlined by Westlife and Sir Tom Jones.
