History
The South stand is sponsored by Malvern Tyres and is a 7,500 capacity grandstand which opened following renovations in 2007. On the opposite side, the North Stand is named “The Shed” due to its close position to the pitch, low roof and 3,000 person all standing area which results in loud atmospheric home support.
On the West Stand, you’ll find hospitality boxes along with 1,615 seats sponsored by Stowford Press. Finally, the East Stand holds 3,000 fans sponsored by JS Facilities Group located on Kingsholm Road, hence the stadium name.
10 International Rugby matches have taken place at Kingsholm Stadium including England vs Wales in 1900, New Zealand vs the United States in the 1991 Rugby World Cup, an uncapped match between Ireland and the Barbarians in 2008 and the England Saxons vs Tonga in the 2011 Churchill Cup.
